Care Instructions for My Eden Wooden Planters

Caring for your wooden planters: An easy guide to prolonging wood planters' paradise!

Now that you’ve brought your wonderful planter from MyEden, you may be wondering, “What is the best way to care for my planter?”. By regularly following these steps, we can assure you that you can give your planter the long life that it deserves.

  1. Regularly wipe the planter with a dry or slightly wet cotton cloth to remove any dust and watermarks that might accumulate on the surface. Doing this,  once or twice in a week will make the polish last longer. You can also do this using the Buffing method described below.
  2. Buffing with coconut oil will keep your planters looking smooth and shiny. "Buffing" is a surface-finishing process that is used to make materials such as wood and metal shine, utilizing a wheel made from cotton cloth. We recommend taking a few drops of coconut oil on a cotton cloth and gently wiping the surface of your planter in circular motions. Repeat this process at a twice or thrice a month to get the best results.
  3. Use Furniture Polish Restorer: Additionally, My Eden recommends to use any furniture polish restorer available easily in markets or even on Amazon once every quarter or every four months to keep the polish restored without any additional labor/polish work by carpenters. It will refresh your planter like new. Follow the same "Buffing" process with polish with a dry cloth.
  4. Make a note of how much water your plant requires and only water them as required. Our planters are water resistant, so you need not be worried about water/rot damage.
  5. Keep a check for stagnant water on the bottom or around where planter is placed.
  6. Once a while, remove the liner bag and clean for any soil deposits on the inside part of the planter.
  7. Over the years, if you feel the waterproof sealant is worn off from the surface due to rains or sunlight or any such issues, then apply a good waterproof sealant coat

All of our planters are Sustainable and come with extra water-resistant protection that has been tested for many years. By following the above-mentioned tips, your My Eden planter will certainly last many years and even generations to help you grow your beautiful plants with no impact on mother earth. Say "No" to Plastic planters!
